A Boy and His Dog

It's been a long, long time since I've updated here...

Timothy is 13 now and he just finished 7th grade. Yikes! Here he is with my puppy, Kaylee. She's a Catahoula Leopard Dog (really!) and, at only 5 months old, already weighs a whopping 50 pounds. She's a moose. But I love her anyway - and so does Timothy!

Glad to hear the two of you are doing well.

I have moved my posts to fotothing under GraniteRoad. I don't get around to posting a picture each day but when ever I find time. And I monitor you and JP for updates here.

Have a great weekend! Don

The Colors of Summer

As summer fades into fall
Remembering days gone by
Thinking of times to come
Waiting, waiting, waiting
For the colors of summer to return

Luv the sky tone ........ Wed 24-Sep-2008 23:57

Thank you for the congratulations on retirement. I plan to spend more time on pics and I certainly enjoy telling stories with pics.

I like summer but I like fall better. The bugs are gone and the variety of fall colors is fantastic. So I have been waiting for it to come and it has arrived in the Arrowhead country of Northern MN.

And I believe you captured a very colorful shot as well.

Meet Edward

Whoa! Those are some scary socks!

Well, Timothy's not 100% sure about his name yet, but he's leaning toward Edward.

He's six weeks old, teeny tiny, playful, adorable!

And, the sad news that most of you might not know, we lost Lewes at the end of August. He just totally disappeared and we never did find a single trace of him. We like to think that he's moved on to be the king of some other castle - eating tuna and drinking milk all day long. King Louie. That certainly fits him.

Of course this kitty doesn't replace Lewes, but Timothy fell instantly in love with him because he does look a bit like Louie.

Hey - by the way - thanks for visiting, Don - it's great to hear from you!

Yup, those claws just SCREAM Edward Scissorhands...

I have a picture of our kitten (who is now almost 5) and her eyes look like she just got the sparky end of a cattle prod. Why do all kittens get that look? I don't own a cattle prod and I'm pretty sure you don't either...

Hi, Katie. Long time since we spoke.
Sorry to hear about Lewes.
Seems a little strange to be wishing you a Merry Christmas and a happy new year after that bad news, but I'll do it anyway. You look after yourselves

Hunter!

Even Hunter likes to smell the flowers...although it looks more like he's going to eat these!

Hi! I have not stopped by your page for a long time. I got sort of burned out and have not keep up with posting lots of pics. In fact, zero I think for a year or better.

I was visiting Rajiv's page and saw your comment so thought I would stop by for a few minutes.

In your post of May 28th., you have a picture of a little yellow flower. We have that same plant in your flower garden. My wife's Mother had this in her yard in the 60's and we moved a few plants with us as we went. First to Babbitt, MN for 18 years and then to St. Cloud for 19 years. If one looked through all the posts I made, I would suspect you would find pictures of that same plant.

Your post is picture perfect as I remember your work from a year or so ago. Hunter is a beautiful dog and I would guess a very enjoyable pet.

I plan to retire next September so maybe I will find time to do other things then. Right now, work is consuming most of my time and energy plus painting 4 rooms in our hosue. Two of which has wall paper that needed to come off first. Lots of work buy I enjoy doing it as there is no time deadline to get it done. I can take my time and do it right.

Anyway, it was good to see your pics again and I will try and stop by from time to time.
